Julka's story
"When Julka was 10 years old, as part of a SCiA project, she and 20 other children aged 8-
14 from Elbasan, rewrote an influential book. The “CRC for and by Children” book adapted
the UN CRC and explained it in a child friendly language. SCiA published it and made it
available to children and teachers throughout Albania"

Marvin's story
“They insulted, offended, and ignored me. I had difficulties in learning, and besides lost my will to go to school. I dropped out of school and played all day in the street” says Marvin .
But now his life is very different. He is regularly following the school, has achieved good results and participates in cultural, educational and sports activities that the school organizes with the initiative and involvement of Children’s Government

Dori and Suada's story
The old methods I used when Dori was a baby/toddler have negatively influenced his development.I went to the Mother and Child Care Unit (MCCU) only for health problems and for his immunizations because in this way it functioned four years ago says Neta, Dori’s mother.When I first met Dori, he showed signs of indolence, was a very shy child, didn’t play with children and was often sick. But now the change is evident. Dori is more active, communicates more freely with children and parents, is more agile and creative and reflects light in his eyes- says the MCCU specialist.

E.K's story
E.K, aged 16, was provided with legal protection by the Ombudsman for Children. After suffering from unjust treatment and violation of his rights by the police, the complaint that his mother made to the Subsection for Children rights of office of the Peoples Advocate against the police, lead to justice being served with the help of the OPA.

Kristi's story
Kristi’s motor development has been difficult since his early years of life. It is very hard for him to walk and maintain body balance, his abilities to coordinate and focus on simple actions are weak. With SCiA and our partner’s support, Kristi has been making great progress. He has been able to attend kindergarten at the age of six and the two-to-three-years of kindergarten’s learning plan was completed by Kristi in just one and a half years. He was then enrolled in the first grade of the primary mainstream school.

Ilir's story
Ilir was trafficked for labour, when he was 4 year old, by his father and another man, whom he refers to as 'Uncle'. Ilir, together with his brothers and younger sister, was forced to beg in the streets of Athens every day regardless of the weather. "I often slept in the streets travelled a lot was exhausted, and it was the ‘Uncle’ that collected the money, I did it to support my family".
