A Guide for teachers and teacher’s educators. This booklet is dedicated to the UN Secretary General’s Study on Violence against Children (UNGA Resolution 57/190) that is rooted in children’s human right to protection from all forms of violence. The booklet aims to promote action to prevent and eliminate violence against children in schools and education settings. It is translated in Albanian and produced in 2000 copies. Children Speak Out Trafficking Risk and Resilience in Southeast Europe Regional report
This research report provides an in-depth analysis of children’s perception of risk and resiliency in respect to trafficking. The report “Children Speak Out” also aims to inform national and regional policy makers, NGOs and civil society at large on what changes are required to meet the needs of children at risk of exploitation and trafficking. It documents the importance of listening to children and taking their views into account.

Violence Against Children in Schools
This study provides more in depth information on the issue of violence against children in schools. It sheds light on the factors which contribute to teachers and children both perpetuating and suffering forms of violence within the school system, and on the coping strategies to deal with the effects of violence. 500 copies (Albanian and English language) have been produced and distributed to SC offices, donors, partners, NGOs, Government institutions/individuals, media, specialists and experts working in the field of child protection.
“School Mid-Term Plan” Manual
This manual, the first of its kind, for school headmasters and teachers, provides knowledge on how to prepare mid term plans for their school. Mid-term plan for schools is an experience to be applied for the first time in Albania. Schools are used to work only with short term plans. It is designed and produced in partnership with Institute of Curricula and Standards (5000 copies) in Albanian language.
'School Self Evaluation' Manual
It is designed to help the school headmasters and teachers to self evaluate their school progress and to improve the quality of education services they offer. This manual it offers formats and guidance on how to objectively self evaluate the school progress using quality and quantity indicators and how to identify priorities and set measurable objectives for school improvement. It is produced in partnership with MoE in 5000 copies, Albanian Language

Inclusion in Preschool Education
Inclusive Preschool Education leaflet in Albanian were produced and distributed to ECD institutions and Regional Education Directories all over the country. It helped and equipped ECD specialists and preschool education professionals with basic concepts on inclusion in preschool education and was used as a practical guide for preschool teachers to evaluate the school from the inclusion point of view.
Building Strengths
SCiA Report 2005 in English and Albanian, it provided updated
information about the situation of children in Albania related to
our thematic working areas. It contains highlights of our work
over the period 2002-2005 and as well as specific activities for

Early
Childhood Development in AlbaniaThis report, commissioned by Save
the Children, and written by Human Development Centre, looks at Albanian
childrearing practices for children aged 0-6. The researches throw light on
knowledge, beliefs and practices about pregnancy, giving birth, nutrition,
children’s health, discipline of children and many other areas, and make
recommendations in order to improve early childhood development in Albania.

CRC for

Twenty children from Elbasan have re-written the UN
Convention on the Rights of the Child in a language they can understand. The
book explains children’s universal rights, and the authors added their own ideas
about what responsibilities children have as a result of these rights. The text
is beautifully illustrated with cartoons and children’s drawings. CRC for and by
children is a useful resource for parents and teachers, in their difficult but
very important task of raising and educating children. But Save the Children has
also placed a copy in every school, in order to encourage children to read it

“Children speak out: Trafficking Risk and Resilience in Southeast Europe-Albania Report”
This research clarifies and helps to better understand the processes and mechanisms by which children are trafficked and exploited, including children’s views on these phenomena, and to increase the knowledge about the strengths and protection mechanisms that exist among children, their families and community as well as what interventions should be made by the state and the civil society in order to ensure the necessary protection to “most at-risk” children.
Comparative research on Albanian legislation and practices and UNCRC
This study, the first of its kind, evidences the achievements and gaps of Albanian legislation in relation to children’s rights. It serves as a basic instrument for all the governmental and nongovernmental institutions in their work to improve the Albanian legislation. 1000 copies in Albanian were produced.

Child Participation
This leaflet is designed for children to help increase their participation in decision making process at school and community level. It provides knowledge to children how to exercise their rights to participate and to express freely their thoughts. 3000 copies, in Albanian, are produced and distributed to schools, children, SCiA is working with, in 13 Regions.

Annual Report 2006
It is an illustrious and one of the main communication vehicle/publication for SCiA. This year topic was SCiA advocacy efforts to champion children’s rights. Achievements in advocacy and in other programme fields were subject of the whole report. Children stories and quotes were a substantial part that illustrated changes happened on children as a result of SCiA work impact. Other new elements for this report were photo stories and more child friendly designing format. 1000 copies in English and Albanian were produced and distributed to SC offices, donors, partners, NGOs, Government institutions/individuals, media.
